and leave Kununurra via the Ord River Diversion Dam and the Dunham River Bridge for great views of the Wet Season flood waters. We'll call in for a dip or a pic at Molly Springs, then head along the Victoria Highway and onto the infamous Gibb River Road. You'll marvel as the open plain country gives way to the rugged peaks of the Tier Ranges as you cross the King River. Along this winding, roller coaster of a road, you’ll witness many waterfalls which come and go on a daily basis as determined by the Wet season showers. The Cockburn Ranges never fail to impress, with peaks rising to 590m in some areas. We'll stop along the way to take photos of the ranges and runoff, admire the luscious green foliage of the Boabs, watch for birdlife or cool off in one of the creeks. Arriving at the Pentecost River crossing we'll stop for some refreshments before exploring the riverbank for the best vantage points for birdwatching and croc spotting. We're likely to see brolga and birds of prey including White Breasted Sea Eagles which frequent these areas. On the drive back to Kununurra, the Cockburns are even more impressive as the light changes, especially if afternoon storm clouds start to form. Time permitting, we'll call in at the bottom of the Diversion Dam before dropping you off at your accommodation or meeting point.
