Not far from Kununurra are some of the most spectacular and accessible waterfalls around. We'll take you to the amazing pools of Middle Spring for a splash, then onto the infamous 'Mystery Road' Black Rock Falls & Lower Ord.

Itinerary Pick-up from your accommodation or meeting point before tour commences. 7:00am: We leave Kununurra via the Victoria Highway, crossing the Diversion Dam and Dunham River in flood, then turn off on the Valentine Spring Road, stopping off at Valentines Springs. Further on we’ll lock in 4WD to get through some of the deeper water crossings into Middle Spring. Here you can have a dip in the lower pool or climb up to the next tier for some amazing Ord Valley views in one direction, and more cascading waterfalls in the other. Travelling along the short 4WD track that links the two waterfalls, you’ll be able to see where ‘Mystery Road’ was filmed at Black Rock Falls. 10:00am: After a refreshment break at one of these magic places, the HOT Troopie will get you as close to the Ord River, and its inhabitants, as is safe. At Buttons Crossing you’ll most likely spot white-breasted sea eagles and ospreys as they swoop for small fish in the shallows. Depending on road and river conditions we may pop into and possibly cross Ivanhoe Crossing*, otherwise head back to Kununurra the way we came, calling in at the Lions Park at the base of the Diversion Dam, or even ANZAC Hill to watch an afternoon lightening show before dropping you off at your accommodation or meeting point at midday. * Visiting some sights and activities will depend on rainfall, waterfall activity and time of day.
