Gorgeous boabs are finally getting their leaves back, and the grasses are shooting up their new growth. Even the spinifex is softer - for now. The first November rains did not disappoint with over 150mm in some areas.
Boab flowers are also in bloom and many of our bush tucker trees are starting to fruit. The billabongs and wetlands have had their first drenching making them a popular meeting place for a vast array of birdlife, including brolga, egrets, jabiru, magpie geese, whistling ducks to name a few.
The wildflower season sure kicks off early here in the East Kimberley. June temperatures make perfect conditions for strolling through the scrub to find a multitude of colours in the local flora. Jump on any of the available HOT Tours to get a glimpse of this seasonal display which will continue right through the Dry Season to September.
